Beginning this weekend, June 12-13, we will make a few changes to MQP Mass Protocols:
+ You no longer need to register to attend Mass in person. + You will be able to seat yourself in the Church. (Mass Hospitality Ministers will still be available to assist.)
+ The far south section of the Church will be a "non-physical distance" section. The pew ropes will be removed and you will be able to seat yourself in any of the pews.
The following protocols remain the same:
+ We request that everyone continue to wear a face covering.
+ The other three sections of the Church will continue to be "physical distance" sections. The pew ropes will remain in place to maintain seating in every other pew. Please continue to respect the 6-foot spacing between you and other groups in your pew. + Please refrain from congregational singing. (We encourage you to sing in your heart or quietly to yourself.) + Additional seating is still available in the Social Hall and the Outdoor Plaza.
If you are comfortable sitting closer to other groups, please consider sitting in the far south "non-physical distance" section. This will be a gift to your fellow parishioners, as this will allow us to seat more people in the Church, rather than overflowing into the Social Hall. If you still feel more comfortable having space, or simply prefer to sit in the other sections, you are welcome to sit in any of the "physical distance" sections.
Thank you for your continued patience and understanding as we adapt the protocols and continue to work together to provide a safe and comfortable environment at MQP for everyone to feel welcomed and able to worship God!

Archbishop Etienne has extended the dispensation of the obligation to attend Sunday Mass. There is no obligation and no sin in not coming to Mass during this time. If you are not able to come to the Church in person, please continue to join us for live-streamed Mass on our parish YouTube channel. We are still called to observe Sunday as “a sabbath of solemn rest, holy to the Lord.” Live-Streamed Mass: YouTube Channel & Worship Aids here.
The church open for private prayer: Monday to Saturday from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. and Sundays from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Prayer at Home: Archbishop Etienne has asked all churches to toll their bells at 12:00 noon as a sign of solidarity, as well as for all of us to pray the Angelus and the Our Lady of Seattle Prayer at this time. Find these prayers and other resources on our “Faith at Home” page: https://mqpevents.weebly.com/faith-at-home-resources.html
Fr. Chad will be available to hear confessions on Fridays. Please check our home page for updated schedule. You can also make an appointment with Fr. Chad for another time by emailing email@example.com If you are not able to leave your home at this time, be sure that our Merciful God knows your intention. Please make a sincere Act of Contrition and resolve to come to Confession in person as soon as you are able. Find suggestions for this prayer on our “Faith at Home” page.
ANOINTING OF THE SICK
Please contact the Parish Office to schedule with Fr. Chad: (425) 391-1178 If it is urgent, and the Parish Office is closed or is not able to answer, please contact Eastside Pastoral Care, and they will be able to contact Fr. Chad or another priest: (425) 655-3200
This is a traditionally-used phrase for receiving Anointing of the Sick and/or Viaticum when someone appears to be approaching death. Please see the phone numbers above to contact Fr. Chad or another priest. You do not need to wait until the last moment or day-of. Please contact us well ahead of time to make sure we have enough time to respond.
Someone from the MQP staff is here answering phones during regular business hours, Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. If you are at MQP during office hours and need help from a staff member, please ring the doorbell next to the main office door.
It is very prudent and an act of charity towards others to follow all the guidelines recommended to us by public health officials: www.doh.wa.gov Please know that we understand that you might not able to come to church for some time. Please take advantage of the available on-line resources to make your home even more a place of holiness and prayer!
